Industrial effluent management in African regions
Description
Key practices of the wastewater management process include water conservation and water and wastewater quality monitoring (International Financial Cooperation [IFC] – World Bank [WB] Group 2007). In Africa, most industries discharge their effluents untreated into water bodies and onto open land, contributing to pollution of these resources. Most of the water bodies around some cities in Africa are the end points of such effluents.
