Secondary learners explored livelihoods and what the ocean gives us. The mural links daily life in Lüderitz to the benefits and responsibilities that come with a healthy sea.

This photo is part of the Waves of Change initiative, a community-based art and ocean literacy project along Namibia’s coast. The project uses creativity and storytelling to inspire young people, connect communities to the sea, and share their voices with decision-makers. Supported by local partners and the NIMPA+ project, Waves of Change empowers champions of ocean conservation through murals, workshops, and education activities.
