Description

Fast-growing forest plantations in Mediterranean-type climates are a significant fire risk in the absence of substantial and regular fuel treatments. The Pedrogao Grande fire in June 2017 in Portugal killed 66 people in a landscape dominated by pine and eucalyptus.
